Velocity is built to protect against blast fragmentation and blunt force impact without feeling like safety gear. The Grilamid frame is light, flexible and holds its strength from minus 40 to over 50 degrees, so it performs as well in the desert as it does in the cold.
The slide-lock lens system lets you swap lenses in seconds with no tools. Run Smoke in bright sun, switch to Clear at night or indoors, or add the HD Orange lens to lift contrast in flat, overcast light. Each 2.4mm precision optic blocks 100% of UVA and UVB.
Low profile temples sit comfortably under a helmet and alongside hearing protection. The adjustable nose pad gives a closer, more stable fit, and a removable retainer strap keeps them secure when you are moving fast.
Need a prescription? Add the Velocity RX adaptor, which sits behind the ballistic lens so you keep full protection.
In the box: frame, lenses, retainer strap, hard protective case and cleaning cloth. Available in Matte Black or Desert Tan.

Features of the VelocityHigh-Impact Lightweight Grilamid Frame
High-Impact Lightweight Grilamid Frame
Grilamid is a revolutionary exceptionally lightweight amorphous polyamide material which has high impact strength at both hot and cold temperatures (suitable for -40°C to 50°C+ climates). Superior heat resistance and dispersion. It is mechanically stable to high UV radiation exposure.
These frames are built to withstand much flexural stress and fatigue. Built to last under the most challenging of conditions. High stress-crack resistance, resistant to chemicals, low flammability and suitable for sterilization. These frames are suitable for even the most obscure and unexpected situations you may find yourself in. They’re also recyclable.

Are Velocity sunglasses actually ballistic rated?
Yes. Velocity is certified to ANSI Z87.1, EN166, AS/NZS 1337.1 and STANAG 2920, and exceeds the US military ballistic impact requirement for spectacles (MIL-PRF-31013, clause 3.5.1.1).
Which lens should I choose?
Smoke is for bright sun, Clear is for night and indoor use, and HD Orange boosts contrast in low or overcast light. The Clear and Smoke kit covers most situations, and the three-lens kit adds HD.
Can I wear Velocity with a prescription?
Yes. The Velocity RX adaptor clips in behind the ballistic lens. Your optometrist fits your prescription lenses into the adaptor.
Will they fit under a helmet or with earmuffs?
Yes. The low profile temples are designed to sit under a helmet and alongside hearing protection without pressure points.
What is the difference between Velocity and Velocity Reactive Z Series?
Both share the same frame and fit. The Z Series uses Carl Zeiss lenses tuned for red dot, reflex and holographic sights, while the standard Velocity uses Smoke, Clear and HD lenses for general use.
