The 8 base curve wraps around your face to cut light coming in from the sides and behind. The 2.2mm smoke grey polycarbonate lens reduces glare and blocks 100% of UVA and UVB.

The lightweight Grilamid frame has a gunmetal logo and a non-slip nose pad for an all-day fit. It works on patrol, at the range or with jeans on the weekend.

Are Reload sunglasses ballistic rated?

Yes. They are certified to ANSI Z87.1, EN166 and AS/NZS 1337.1, and exceed the US military ballistic impact requirement for spectacles (MIL-PRF-31013, clause 3.5.1.1).

What does 8 base mean?

It describes how curved the lens is. An 8 base lens wraps closely around the face, which blocks more side light and gives better coverage than flatter lenses.

Can I change the lens?

No. Reload has a fixed smoke grey lens. For interchangeable lenses, see Jager or Velocity.

Are they suitable for everyday wear?

Yes. Reload is designed to look like everyday sunglasses while giving you ballistic-rated protection.
